This a a great solution for the very small or very tall. Or if you just want an adjustable option. It has a special anti slip mechanism, which means it won’t slip down, even if it is not tightened. It is the lightest adjustable pulpit in its class. This church pulpit can be lifted with one (strong) hand. Suitable for use by people in wheelchairs. It has five different height positions. 

The base and stem on both pulpit and table are finished with a black, textured powder-coated paint. This emphasizes the minimalist silhouette of the Arc2. The painted finish is durable and  forgiving if it is accidentally damaged. In fact, small scratches can be touched up with a black marker if need be.

This pulpit proved to be somewhat of an engineering difficulty! The first challenge was how to allow 2 curved tubes to slide within one another. It is fairly simple to get 2 straight tubes to slide within one another, but a curve is a different story. The second problem was to develop a non-slip adjustment mechanism. 
 
So after much prototyping and research, we developed a unique clicking mechanism. This means that (unlike most adjustable lecterns) the mechanism will still be reliable after years of use. We also reengineered all the parts to make them as light as possible. In particular, we developed a new base. It is extra rigid yet not as heavy and very stable on uneven surfaces. This result is that this base is only 1.8kg/4pounds heavier than the regular Arc2.

The pulpit and table tops are in tinted black acrylic with an anti reflective factory finish. We had this plastic custom made for us. 

The textured black powder coat paint is from Interpon and is baked on to make it tough. The texture not only looks good (like matt painted cars), but it is more durable than a gloss paint finish. The pulpit might get knocks and scratches. The textured powder coat paint will stand up to this better than other paint finishes.

It would be less cost for us to use steel and then paint it, but we dont. We use stainless steel and aluminium because these materials don't flake or blister- so the paint finish will last. 

You will receive free covers (normally $30 each) for both the pulpit and table. Put them on after the preaching is finished-they will help to prolong the life of the pulpit and table tops.

Assembly is required and a tool is provided. Assembly is easy and takes less than 5 minutes.
