This is the adjustable version of the 70cm/28” wide Arc2 pulpit in black.

The perfect solution for the very small or very tall. Or if you simply want an adjustable option. It has a special anti slip mechanism, which means it won’t slip down, even if it is not tightened. It is the lightest adjustable lectern in its class. This lectern can be lifted with one (strong) hand. Suitable for use by people in wheelchairs. It has five different height positions.

This proved to be somewhat of an engineering challenge!

The first challenge was how to allow 2 curved tubes to slide within one another. It is fairly simple to get 2 straight tubes to slide within one another, but a curve is a different story. The second problem was to develop a non-slip adjustment mechanism. 
 
So after much research and prototyping, we developed a special clicking mechanism. This means that (unlike most adjustable lecterns) the mechanism will still be reliable after years of use. We also reengineered all the parts to make them as light as possible. In particular, we developed a new base. It is extra stable and rigid yet not as heavy and very stable on uneven surfaces. This result is that this base is only 1.8kg/4pounds heavier than the regular Arc2.

The top is in tinted black acrylic with an anti glare factory finish (you don't need anti glare film.) We had this plastic custom made for us (we had to make a lot!) The base and stem are in textured black. We found this is the most appealing and also the most durable. Assembly is easy and takes less than 5 minutes. See below for prices and freight. 

If purchasing this podium, we highly recommend that you also purchase a cover (see in the "you might be interested in" section below) which will help to prolong the life of the podium top, when not in use. A cover is essential if the podium is going to be moved around, as it helps to prevent scratches and dust.

This is a handcrafted podium. Each pair of tubes is adjusted and matched to one another to give a smooth movement.
